Survival Bracelets

  Important news 10-2009!

DUE TO AN UPCOMING DEPLOYMENT TO AFGHANISTAN, I WIL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING ANY CUSTOM BRACELET ORDERS. I WILL UPDATE THIS PAGE WHEN I AM ABLE TO MAKE THEM AGAIN.
THANKS!

"What are Survival Bracelets, and why do I want one?"

Survival Bracelets are made from Mil-Spec 550-pound test parachute cord.

Long-worn in military circles, these are becoming more & more popular due to them being featured in shows such as Man Vs. Wild and Survivorman.

My Black & Royal Blue "Thin Blue Line" model, pictured below, is becoming popular in law enforcemet cirles as a way to show your pride & support!

All of my paracord bracelets, lanyards, and fobs not only have a "cool, tactical look," but also have real survival functions built in as well:  In a real-world SHTF or EOTW situation, the items can be taken apart and used to construct shelters, snares to catch game, erergency restraints, repairs, or any of the many uses this 450-550 LB. test cord, with seven inner strands of 35 LB test, cord can used for. Each bracelet will yield about 10-15" of Paracord.

In my line of work, stress is inherent, and making these is a good way to relax.  Also, I'm able to take what little profit I make off these and buy extra gear and training materials for our team.

"Why the name "CavScout Paracord" for your paracord items?"

I sometimes put these on Ebay and call the line "CavScout Paracord."
I've spent almost 20 years in the Army & National Guard as a 19 Delta Cavalry Scout, with deployments during
Operations  Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.  I am proud of that, as I am in these paracord items that I am offering for sale here.  Sounds like a good name to me!  Weaving and braiding paracord has long been a way for soldiers to kill some down time and boredom, as well as to make some cool functional "pieces of kit" at the same time.

"How much are they, and how do I get one?"

The pics below show some examples of paracord items I have made. To get the appriximate size, simply take a piece of string and loop it around your wrist, and then measure the string.  Email me the size and the color or colors you want. Also, most bracelets come with free color-coordinated fobs / zipper pulls made with the extra cord left over from the braclet making process. I Usually have the following colors in stock, but can get almost anything with a little lead-time:
Olive Drab
Coyote Tan
ACU
Black
Multi-Cam
Royal Blue

(The Law Enforcement Black & "Thin Blue Line" model is becoming quite popular!)
